Gabby Logan presents live coverage of the 2015 Morrisons Great North Run.

Mo Farah, fresh from retaining his world titles at 5000m and 10,000m, returns this year to defend 2014's crown and will be looking to captivate the crowds as he aims to better that time whilst facing opposition from Kenyans Mike Kigen, who finished second to Mo last year; Stanley Biwott, who was second at this year's London Marathon; and Stephen Sambu, who won this year's Great Manchester Run.

The women's elite field is led by last year's winner Mary Keitany of Kenya, but there is strong British interest from Gemma Steel who finished second to Keitany last year, and Ethiopians Gelete Burka who won silver in the 10,000m at the recent World Championships and Tigist Tufa who won this year's London Marathon.

The wheelchair races will be equally intriguing. Shelley Woods is back to defend her title, while in the men's race David Weir will aim to recapture the title he last won in 2013 whilst facing opposition from last year's winner Spaniard Jordi Jimenez, and Canada's Josh Cassidy who finished second to Weir in 2013.

The Great North Run is nothing without the mass runners. As well as those just taking part for enjoyment will be many raising money for causes close to them and we will hear some of those stories during the programme as well as bringing live updates from out on the course with Denise Lewis, Colin Jackson, Radzi Chinyanganya and Phil Jones.

Commentary comes from Steve Cram, Brendan Foster and the former world marathon and half marathon champion Paula Radcliffe.
