Another chance to hear, Now and Forever, Let It Be Me. Bill Kenwright pays tribute to The Everly Brothers, with interviews, anecdotes and archives from Art Garfunkel, Cliff Richard, Albert Lee, Duane Eddy, Neil Diamond, Sir Tim Rice, Bob Harris, Brian Matthew and many, many more. It seems everyone who was anyone in the latter half of 20th Century Pop Music has been influenced by the humble brothers from Kentucky. It's no exaggeration to say that Phil and Don changed the face of pop music and became the most successful American Duo of all time. Their harmonies were matchless and many of the great and good have tried but failed to emulate them including The Beatles, Simon & Garfunkel, The Bee Gees and The Beach Boys. But it was the change they made to the music, their guitar playing was the envy of many, it was a new sound. According to Art Garfunkel he and Paul Simon were listening toThe Brothers' first hit single "Bye Bye Love" and became completely mesmerised and he said "they hadn't even begun to sing a note". Such was their unwitting influence and power. Phil Everly lost his battle this year and many said the angels in heaven will be singing to a sweeter tune. Throughout the next two hours self-confessed devotee Bill Kenwright will be looking back at their life and music, including favourites such as "Bye Bye Love", "Cathy's Clown" "So Sad", "Wake Up Little Suzie" too many to mention, but certainly you'll be hearing as many as he squeeze in. Phil & Don everyone is simply "Devoted To You".
