Paul Gambaccini presents tracks from this week's US charts and hits from the last six decades.

Each week, songs are played connected to members of 'The Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame'. Continuing our alphabetical look at the list, we hear 'She's Gone' by Daryl Hall & John Oates and in honour of producer John Hammond we hear Bob Dylan, one of his discoveries, singing 'Simple Twist Of Fate'. In 'A Matter Of Life And Death', we celebrate the birthday on this date in 1951 of Stephen Bishop by playing 'On And On'. Paul pays tribute to Cory Wells of Three Dog Night, who has recently died, by playing one of the group's biggest hits 'Mama Told Me (Not To Come)'. 'It's Not The Same Old Song' highlights 'All Around The World' by Little Willie John and a different song with the same title by Little Richard.

In the feature called 'Beyond The Sea', Paul plays a song from a UK artist's biggest-selling album in America. Tonight, we hear tracks from LPs by The Zombies and Leo Sayer. 'The Other Number Ones' are records that reached the top of the American chart in 'Cash Box' magazine, but not in the Hot 100 of the other US chart publication 'Billboard'. This week's examples are by Cozy Cole and Ringo Starr.

Our R&B number ones are from 1998 and now by Deborah Cox and Tyrese. We hear Country number ones from 1999 and this week by Martina McBride and Thomas Rhett. Our featured past and present Rock number ones are by The Black Keys and Elle King. The number one album is 'Sounds Good Feels Good' by 5 Seconds Of Summer. The best-selling digital song is 'Hello' by Adele with a record breaking sale of 1.1 million downloads in one week.
