Music 'til Midnight - Moira Stuart presents a finale to the current series celebrating the music of Frank Sinatra with tracks from 12 classic albums recorded between 1947 and 1979. Featuring the work of his favourite arrangers who shaped his career, these included Axel Stordahl, Nelson Riddle, Billy May, Don Costa and Gordon Jenkins.

Born on December 12 1915, Frank Sinatra remains one of the popular music world's towering figures. His career began as a singing waiter in his native New Jersey before he came to the attention of bandleader Harry James. Thereafter, from the swing era of the 1940's right through to his sell out stadium shows of the 1970's and 80's, Frank Sinatra proved himself time and time again to be a creative powerhouse who defined, and in many cases redefined the Great American Songbook.

Tonight's music reflects his sheer versatility and enduring appeal with favourite songs from classic recordings including Songs For Swinging Lovers, In The Wee Small Hours, Come Fly With Me, September Of My Years and Trilogy: Past, Present and Future.
