Christmas Morning with Cathy Macdonald and Ricky Ross
A festive celebration of fantastic music and great conversation in the company of Cathy, Ricky and guests, all sharing their Christmas messages of hope.
Cathy and Ricky will be talking about home and hospitality, at a time of year when we welcome people in for food and company. Ian Galloway, minister of Gorbals Parish Church in Glasgow, and Alison Phipps, Professor at Glasgow University and co-convener of GRAMNet - Glasgow Refugee, Asylum and Migration Network, talk about what it means to open your doors to those far from their own homes.
Student Haian Dukhan talks about his former life in Palmyra in Syria, his life now in Scotland and the welcome he received when he first arrived.
Our reporter Monica Brown went to visit the Milk Café in Glasgow, opening its doors and offering hospitality to female asylum seekers, swopping life skills and recipes.
Writer Rachel McCrum is the ´óÏó´«Ã½'s Poet in Residence and she conjures up a magical poem especially for the Christmas Morning show. She's also joined by author Kerry Hudson talking about what home means to them.
Many Scots no longer spend Christmas in their country of birth but Cathy and Ricky catch up with two of them about how they celebrate now and what they remember of their childhood Christmases. Broadcaster and presenter, Gail Porter, and Strictly star and the nation's favourite weather woman, Carol Kirkwood.
