Billy Sloan plays the very best in pop and rock music from Scotland's greats as well as the rest of the world with regular features Spin The Globe and Early Morning Soul. This weekend's Musical Chairs highlights the career of musician, composer and record producer John Cale - founding member of the American experimental rock band The Velvet Underground and collaborated with many artists including Nico, The Stooges, Patti Smith, Nick Drake, The Modern Lovers, Manic Street Preachers, Siouxsie & The Banshees, Lou Reed & Super Furry Animals. The Live and Dangerous tracks are from Jerry Lee Lewis' live album 'Live At The Star Club, Hamburg'. In Movie Moment Billy's playing 'The Scarlet Tide' by Alison Krauss from the movie 'Cold Mountain' and in Classic Songwriters, Billy plays tracks from the pen of award winning composer, musician, songwriter and singer Burt Bacharach.
