Billy Sloan contines to highlight the career of John Cale, plus he plays Claudette by the Everly Brothers in the Real Thing and his Great Collaborations track is by the Highwaymen.

Billy Sloan plays the very best in pop and rock music from Scotland's greats as well as the rest of the world with regular features Spin The Globe and Early Morning Soul. In this weekend's Musical Chairs, Billy highlights the career of musician, composer and record producer John Cale - founding member of the American experimental rock band The Velvet Underground and collaborated with many artists including Nico, The Stooges, Patti Smith, Nick Drake, The Modern Lovers, Manic Street Preachers, Siouxsie & The Banshees, Lou Reed & Super Furry Animals. The Great Collaborations track features the Highwaymen - music supergroup composed of Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings, Willie Nelson and Kris Kristofferson and in The Real Thing it's 'Claudette' by The Everly Brothers (a song written by Roy Orbison and named after his wife).
