Len Goodman takes actor Ian Kelsey back to Lyme Regis on the border of Dorset and Devon to relive his favourite childhood holiday, which he went on in 1973.
Straightaway, Len surprises Ian by picking him up in a vintage Cortina, just like the one he would have travelled in all those years ago. On the journey down to the seaside Ian explains to Len that his family never booked a hotel - they just arrived and checked in to the first B&B that had a vacancies sign. They also play a very one-sided game of pub cricket, just like Ian did all those years ago.
In a holiday packed full of nostalgia, Len and Ian take a boat trip out onto the water to admire this wonderful and historic coastline. They also go fossil hunting and have a game of pool to see who buys the drinks. Plus, with his 50p spending money, they do what every kid does and head to the sweet shop. Ian remembers gorging on sugar mice, so Len's nostalgia fairies magic up some to enjoy today.
Along the way we get an insight into Ian's long acting career, from being a heartthrob on Emmerdale to stints as a telly doctor on both Holby City and daytime series Doctors. We also find out what made this holiday so memorable for a young Ian Kelsey.
