When Alan Gifford was three, his mother had to make the agonising decision to remove his hands in order to save his life due to complications following a heart operation. Now the ten-year-old from Loughor, south Wales, is being given the chance to become the first child in Wales and the second youngest in the world to receive a state of the art 拢30,000 bionic hand. Will Alan be able to learn to use the hand at such a young age, and how will it change his life? This is Alan's journey.
