Paul Gambaccini presents tracks from this week's US charts and hits from the last six decades.

Each week, songs are played connected to members of 'The Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame'. We hear 'Whole Lotta Love' by Led Zeppelin and 'Sweet Nothin's' by Brenda Lee. In 'A Matter Of Life And Death', we celebrate the birthday on this date in 1976 of Amanda Palmer with the song 'Evelyn Evelyn' . It was recorded by the duo she was part of called Evelyn Evelyn. Paul pays tribute to Malik Taylor (MC Phife Dawg aka Phife Diggy) from A Tribe Called Quest, who has recently died, by playing 'Can I Kick It?' from the act's debut album. 'It's Not The Same Old Song' highlights 'The One' by Elton John and a country hit with the same title by Gary Allan.

In the feature called 'Beyond The Sea', Paul plays a song from a UK artist's biggest-selling album in America. Tonight, we hear tracks from LPs by T. Rex and Fleetwood Mac. 'The Other Number Ones' are records that reached the top of the American chart in 'Cash Box' magazine, but not in the Hot 100 of the other US chart publication 'Billboard'. This week's examples are by Bobby Sherman and Prince & The Revolution.
