Christine and The Queens, whose real name is Heloise Letissier, performs live in session for Jo Whiley with music from debut album Chaleur Humaine.

Christine and The Queens, whose real name is H茅lo茂se Letissier performs live in session for Jo Whiley with music from debut album - Chaleur Humaine. She was born in Nantes in France and has been signed to the independent record label Because Music since 2012. Her work combines music, performance, art videos, drawings and photography. H茅lo茂se studied theatre in Lyon before moving to Paris in 2010, where she finished her studies. When she visited London in 2010, she was inspired by the work of local drag queen musicians, including Russella, who accompanied her in one of her early concerts. They then became her "Queens" as a backing band. Christine and The Queens performance at the Glastonbury Festival this year and it was one of the stand out performances of the weekend and following on from that the single Tilted became a huge radio hit.
