Billy Bragg, the singer-songwriter, political activist and musical historian performs live in session for Jo Whiley. He has music from his new album - Shine A Light: Field Recordings From The Great American Railroad, which he recorded with US singer-songwriter and friend Joe Henry. The record features songs originally made famous by Hank Williams, Lead Belly, Glen Campbell, Gordon Lightfoot and more. It's a collection of railway-themed classic songs recorded over the course of a 65 hour journey across the US from Chicago to Los Angeles on the Texas Eagle railroad service.
