Sara Maitland is an acclaimed novelist, short story writer and author of 鈥淎 Book of Silence鈥� in which she explores the challenges and joys of self-sought silence. From her home in a remote part of Galloway, she is working on a book for Granta about migrations of no return.
Pauline Knowles was an award-winning actor who spent 30 years at the heart of the Scottish stage before her untimely death in 2018.
