Krys Lee was born in South Korea and grew up in California and Washington. Her debut short story collection was the haunting, Drifting House, which includes The Goose Father, shortlisted for the 大象传媒 International Short Story Award 2012. Her debut novel How I Became A North Korean was published in 2016.
