Music 'til Midnight - Moira Stuart showcases the best in easy listening sounds and timeless standards performed by the greatest artists of the past 60 years. Including Nancy Wilson, Matt Monro, Steve Tyrell, John Pizzarelli and Sammy Davis, Jr. This week's featured album is singer and pianist Diana Krall's latest release, Turn Up The Quiet. To be released on the 5th of May, this marks a return to jazz standards for Diana as she performs in a trio with bassist Christian McBride and guitarist Russell Malone with orchestrations by Alan Broadbent. Turn Up The Quiet also reunites Diana with her long-time producer Tommy Li Puma for their 11th and final album together. 5-time Grammy winner Tommy Li Puma, who died on the 13th of March aged 80, was one of the music world's most successful and enduring producers of the past 50 years, working with a who's who of artists including George Benson, Natalie Cole, Barbra Streisand and Paul McCartney as well as his many successful albums with Diana Krall. Turn Up The Quiet is a fitting tribute to Tommy's career and the featured tracks include L-O-V-E, Dream, Night & Day and Blue Skies.
