Documentary offering a fascinating insight into the world of the padres - Christian ministers who give spiritual support to army soldiers.
Padres - who are Christian ministers - have the important role of offering spiritual guidance and moral support to army soldiers - those with faith and those without - and are endorsed by their own churches.
We follow two padres to get an insight into their daily lives. Reverend Hector MacKenzie, who is originally from the Isle of Skye, is based in Colchester, while Reverend Colin MacLeod is in Salisbury but is originally from Lewis and was previously a soldier himself. It is crucial for them to be involved in the soliders' day-to-day lives, and to give them support in different ways.
We also hear from the Rev Angus Smith, who was a padre on the front line in the Falklands in the 80s and in Northern Ireland in the 70s.
