The Song of Hiawatha

Timothy West narrates the legendary tale of the native American warrior Hiawatha.

Based on Henry Wadsworth Longfellow's 1955 epic, the poem relates the adventures of Hiawatha, son of the Ruler Of The Winds Of Heaven, who forges peace through his marriage to Minnehaha. Named Strong-Heart by his villagers, Hiawatha battles defeats mighty opponents, but mischief, famine and tragedy follow.

With Chris Garner as Hiawatha; Sam Fry as Little Hiawatha; Burt Caesar as Gitche Manito; Chris Harris as Iagoo; Peter Polycarpou as Chibiabos; Gary Sharkey as Pau-Puk-Keewis; Bill Wallis as Mudjekeewis; Mia Soteriou as Nokomis; Nicole Arumugam as Minnehaha; and Tom Espiner and Chris Grimes as the Chorus.
