As 大象传媒 Radio Scotland celebrates its 40th Birthday, we hear about the love shared in the families of some very special Scottish 40 year-old's.

Gavin Henry is a highly successful businessman who thrives on hard work but combines that with caring for his disabled son. Divorcee Cathie found new love in the year before she hits the big 4-0. Suzanne Davies is a 40 year-old wife and mum of two living with a brain tumour. She loves life itself. Despite being blind, Kamil Midzio lives an independent family life thanks to his beloved guide dog. Pete Fletcher is adapting to a new life in the Outer Hebrides where he's built his dream recording studio. Dominic Wilde's first love was rugby but a cancer diagnosis and a reunion with a childhood sweetheart means that in his 40th year, he's graduated as a nurse and found a new passion for his chosen career. And Army veteran Stewart Reid is a devoted Dad who adores his daughter.
