Bruno looks at goodbyes in opera - not always in death but in love, war, travels and ,of course, the lovers' farewell. But prepare yourself - this programme contains scenes of drunken debauchery, stormy seas, stabbings, shootings, executions and broken hearts - albeit on the radio. He includes extracts from La Boheme (Puccini); the Marriage of Figaro (Mozart); The Flying Dutchman (Wagner); Samson and Delilah (Saint-Saens); Turandot (Puccini) and Aida (Verdi). The singers featured tonight include Angela Gheorghiu, Jose Cura, Jonas Kaufmann and Sir Thomas Allen.
