In this programme Bruno attempts to unravel the plots and complicated scenarios of operas. He uncovers secrets, lies, deceptions and mistaken identities in - Cosi Fan Tutte(Mozart); The Tales of Hoffmann(Offenbach); La Forza del Destino(Verdi); Lucia di Lammermoor(Donizetti); Suor Angelica(Puccini); Lohengrin(Wagner) and Beethoven's masterpiece and only opera - Fidelio. Bruno features recordings by Leontyne Price, Dame Janet Baker, Montserrat Caballe and Natalie Dessay.
