With Cucina Povera plus DJ Raff in the Mix

Tom is joined in the studio by Finnish-born producer Maria Rossi AKA Cucina Povera, and has a brand new guest mix from Chilean producer DJ Raff.

Tom presents his own unique blend of music with that lovely deadpan delivery we鈥檝e come to love. This week, a very special guest is joining us; Cucina Povera is coming along to discuss her new album Zoom 鈥� released last week on Night School Records. The Finnish born producer also known as Maria Rossi, is now based in Glasgow and has garnering attention from many sections of the music world with her field recordings, spoken word, and voice 鈥榓rt鈥�. She may be named after a style of southern Italian traditional cooking, but her work is experimental, never repeats, and shifts form the more times you hear it. You hear hints of her previous album 鈥楬ilja鈥� in 鈥榋oom鈥�, resetting the focus and context of her work.

Tom also has a guest mix by Chilean DJ and producer DJ Raff. Now based in London, the turntable and tape master perfectly mixes Electronica and Hip Hop, with some cheeky Tropicalia thrown in for good measure. It'll warm the long dark winters of anyone's heart. We鈥檝e been obsessed with this guy for some time and his most EP Resistencia confirmed our suspicions that this guy is going places.
