Linda Macleod is joined by Finlay and Scott to make tomato and broccoli pizza. But before they start cooking, they have to ensure they have all the ingredients. If not, they make a list and go shopping. They also learn more about how tomatoes are grown, then return to the kitchen to make the pizzas before sitting down to tuck in.

STUTHAN
2 bhonn pizza
6 spàin mhòr passata
400g tomàtothan slisnichte
75g brocail slisnichte
150 càise mozzarella
2 spàin mhòr pesto
Làn do dhòrn de dhuilleagan basail

Ro-theasaich an àmhainn gu 180C/350F/Gas 4.

Cuir gach bonn pizza air treidhe àmhainn agus sgap leth den phassata air gach fear. 

Cuir na tomàtothan air muin seo agus an uair sin am brocail. Spìon an càise mozzarella na phìosan beaga agus sgap air uachdar na pizzathan. Cuir spàin mhòr de phesto air gach fear. 

Cuir na pizzathan dhan àmhainn airson 15-20 mionaidean gus am bi am mullach aca a’ bolgadh agus a’ tòiseachadh ri fàs donn. 

Sgaoil na duilleagan basail air uachdar nam pizzathan mas ithear iad.

Tomato and broccoli pizza

SERVES 4

INGREDIENTS
2 plain pizza bases 
6 tbsp passata 
400g  tomatoes, sliced 
75g sprouting broccoli, stems finely sliced 
150g mozzarella 
2 tbsp fresh pesto 
Handful fresh basil leaves, to serve

METHOD
Heat the oven to 180C/160C fan/Gas 4. 

Put each pizza base on a baking sheet and spread each with half of the passata. 

Arrange the tomatoes on the top in rings or wedges of colour and add the broccoli. 

Tear up  the mozzarella  into chunks before dotting them over the pizzas, then drizzle 1 tbsp pesto over each. 

Bake for 15-20 mins until the top is bubbling and just starting to brown a little. Scatter over the basil leaves before serving.
