Easter is a festival of light – people stumbling upon a gloriously empty tomb as the day began, and light spilling into hearts and minds. Baptist minister the Revd Richard Littledale tells the Easter story as the sun rises. With Jesus, light came into the world as never before. Blind men saw, dead men walked, a world of muted colour was splashed with God’s sparking light. But that was after Calvary – the brightest light extinguished on the darkest day.
