Urban visions, Apparitions and spring

Tom McKinney is at Symphony Hall in Birmingham for a CBSO concert featuring its youth choruses, including a new work by Gary Carpenter inspired by Scottish ghost stories.

From Symphony Hall Birmingham, Michael Seal conducts the CBSO in a programme of music that foregrounds the talents of the orchestra鈥檚 youth wing - a CBSO Centenary Commission from Gary Carpenter based on Scottish ghost stories, written for the CBSO Youth and Children鈥檚 Choruses. The programme also features Ralph Vaughan-Williams鈥 atmospheric symphonic portrait of London, and music by John Foulds. Presented by Tom McKinney.
