Jo Clifford - Madeleine

The 1857 trial of Madeleine Smith, accused of murdering her lover Emile L'Angelier. Stars Clare Grogan and Stella Quilley.

On 23rd March 1857, Emile L'Angelier was found dead in Glasgow of arsenic poisoning.

A stack of love letters were found, suggesting he had been involved in a secret affair. Madeleine Smith.
