Raised on a grape farm in Fredonia, New York, Collins fell in love with music from an early age. She learned about the classical world from her mother, a pianist and organist, and the gospel world from church, where she sang in the choir, but it was the radio that first introduced her to the magic of country, and she spent her formative teenage enamored with the stories & melodies that lit up the dial.

After high school, Collins headed to Boston to study music in college, but with just one semester left, she dropped out and moved to Texas to take a job as contemporary vocal director at the largest Lutheran church in the country. As much as she loved the work, Collins quickly came to realize that it wasn鈥檛 what she was meant to do with her life, and so, six months later, she packed her bags once again, this time for Nashville.

With a series of critically acclaimed releases & festival performances everywhere from Stagecoach to FarmBorough. Rolling Stone raved that 鈥淐ollins' voice has the fluttery nuances more common in Seventies Laurel Canyon than in modern country,鈥 & CMT named her to their prestigious 鈥淣ext Women Of Country鈥 series.

During the Covid-19 pandemic, when so many musicians are unable to tour, Radio 2's Country Show is asking artists to perform from their own front room, doing a little to keep the bond between artist and audience alive. First up was Carly Pearce, followed by Thomas Rhett, Mandy Barnett, Gretchen Peters, Steve Earle, Kip Moore, Lukas Nelson, Willie Jones & Billy Strings with the likes of Ingrid Andress, A Thousand Horses and Scotty McCreery to come.
