Local Park Run member Eimear chats running in lockdown and it is Plastic Free July

Today Lynette chats to local Park Run member Eimear McCooey on all things running. With the 'Couch to 5K' app receiving over 800k downloads during lockdown, we look at how the running trend has exploded and what are the benefits. However, how do we get motivated to move as a novice runner? Is it better to run in a group or on your own?

Eimear shares her tips, advice and discusses the 'new normal' of future Park Runs.

Plus, Erin McKeown of Ulster Wildlife chats 'Plastic Free July' - a key initiative of the Plastic Free Foundation that allows us to work towards a vision of seeing a world free of plastic waste. Erin shares advice on how we can get involved on a local scale, and how we can improve the condition of local beaches and beauty spots.
