It’s another two-hour ‘70s playlist, lovingly curated and hand-picked by Johnnie.

And we’re back in the archives for a memorable chat with a shock-rock legend.

Alice Cooper broke through into the pop mainstream in ’72 with his chart debut School’s Out, and quickly became infamous for his outrageous stage shows, which were always packed full of theatrics and anarchic stunts. Johnnie chatted with him in 2017, and Alice recounted a few mishaps that he’s had to deal with during his live performances. He also chose some of his favourite songs from the decade.

‘This Week In Music’ features the moment that an iconic album cover photo was created, a hit single named after a local Chinese takeaway, and a song that Andy Partridge from XTC gave a scathing review in a music magazine, only to then see it top the chart just a few weeks later and become a bonafide pop classic!

The latest entry to Johnnie’s Jukebox comes from two maverick brothers who’ve been making bold, memorable music since the Glam era, and are still going strong in 2020.

And there are plenty of your ‘70s stories, requests and dedications throughout the show.
