Johnnie鈥檚 back with two hours of amazing music from an incredible decade.

This week, he pays tribute to one of the all-time greats of Reggae music.

Toots Hibbert passed away on September 11 and was a giant of the genre. All around the world, fellow musicians loved and respected his talent, and he was generally regarded as the innovator who was the first to put the word 鈥榬eggae鈥� down on tape on his 1968 track Do the Reggay. During the Seventies, Toots and his band The Maytals brought us a host of classic tracks, including Monkey Man, Pressure Drop and Reggae Got Soul. Hibbert spoke to Johnnie back in 2011 on the eve of his UK tour, and you can hear the interview from our Sounds Of the 70s archive.
