Episode 3

A snow leopard is knocked out at Highland Wildlife Park, Fiona Crowden is on call during calving season and Ealasaid Dick is on the road during lambing.

An t-seachdain-sa, aig Pàirce Fiadh-bheatha na Gàidhealtachd, tha eòlaichean air tighinn airson sgrùdadh a dhèanamh air an liopard sneachda fireann. Chan eil e air piseagan a ghinealachadh agus tha e air a chur fo laige airson sampall sìl a ghabhail. Tha droch naidheachd ann ach tha naidheachd eile a tha a’ cur iongnadh air na gleidheadairean agus na bheataichean. Ann am Farfar, tha Fiona Crowden air a cois moch is anmoch air an deireadh sheachdain a’ toirt cobhair do chrodh. Agus tha àm breith nan uan a’ cumail Ealasaid Dick trang ann an Uibhist a Tuath agus Beinn na Faoghla.

In this episode, a team of experts comes to Highland Wildlife Park to run some tests on a male snow leopard that has been unable to sire any cubs. They need to anaesthetise him in order to take some sperm samples, and there is some good and bad news that takes the vets and the keepers by surprise.

In Forfar, Fiona Crowden is doing out-of-hours cover at the weekend and is called out late evening and early morning during the calving season. And lambing time in North Uist and Benbecula keeps Ealasaid Dick on the road.
