An inherited 1950s moped and a hand-cranked butter churn barrel that brings back fond memories are among the items transformed today.

Rebecca brings in a pedal-start moped that dates from the 1950s that belonged to her grandad. He loved getting old things working again or turning them into something else. Now the moped has been passed down to Rebecca, and she would love it to be transformed into something practical in memory of her grandad. Woodcrafter Shelley and mechanics specialist Titch go head-to-head with their designs.

An old wooden hand-crank butter churn presents a challenge for interior design expert Rob. It belongs to Jayne and it reminds her of stories her mum would tell about churning butter as a child. The churn has seen better days, and Jayne doesn鈥檛 know what to do with it, but she can鈥檛 part with it either. Rob has an idea that will keep her memories alive and transform the barrel-shaped churn into a beautiful piece.

Remaker and fabric specialist Elizabeth is a keen swimmer. She has competed in dozens of events over many years, including swimming in extreme cold or adverse conditions. The medals from the events have gone into a drawer, but she wants to transform them into a work of art.
