Back to one of the music鈥檚 finest decades with Johnnie curating some amazing tracks.

And his guest is Jackson Browne, direct from California, discussing his incredible career.

As well as being a performer in his own right, Jackson鈥檚 one of the most gifted songwriters in the history of rock and pop, working with many legends including The Eagles on the classic Take It Easy. He鈥檚 about to tour America with James Taylor to promote the release a new album Downhill From Everywhere on 23rd July, and his latest single My Cleveland Heart has a great video that finds him going under the knife in the operating theatre, surrounded by a bunch of doctors who look uncannily like the members of his band!

Also on the show, a million-selling Summertime favourite from 1978 makes its way into Johnnie鈥檚 Jukebox, thanks to Sara Lattey in Worcester. Expect some serious yodelling when a quirky classic from 1973 is the latest One Of A Kind song under the spotlight, as chosen by listener Steve Swinnerton in Newcastle Under Lyme.

We mark 50 years since the death of Doors frontman Jim Morrison, 50 years since Joni Mitchell released her astonishing album Blue, and celebrate birthdays for both a New Wave icon, and the man behind one of the UK鈥檚 40 best-selling albums of all time.
