It's seed one versus two as China face Japan in the women's team table tennis final.
Chen Meng, Sun Yingsha and Wang Manyu of China are looking to win gold in the women's team table tennis. They will need to overcome Mima Ito, Kasumi Ishikawa and Miu Hirano of Japan, who overcame Hong Kong in the semi-finals. Table tennis team tournaments are different to simple doubles or singles competitions. They consist of four singles matches and one doubles match. Each match is the best of five games and the winning side are the ones who win three out of the five matches. China are seeded number one and Japan are seeded number two, and the Chinese are looking for their fourth consecutive gold in this discipline, meaning they will have won it in every games the event has been contested.
