Watch the opening rounds as Galal Yafai is looking to guarantee GB at least a silver when he takes on Saken Bibossinov of Kazakhstan in the men's flyweight. The Brit is already guaranteed at least a bronze but he will be looking to go one step further at the Kokugikan Arena. Yafai overcame strong opposition in Yosvany Veit铆a of Cuba in the quarter-finals to make it to the medal matches. The winner of this bout will face off against either Tanaka Ryomei of Japan or Carlo Paalam of the Philippines. It will be tough for the host country boxer, with Paalam yet to have a final judge point against him since the round of 32.

Also in boxing action is Kellie Anne Harrington of Ireland in the semi-finals of the women's lightweight against Sudaporn Seesondee of Thailand. The number one seed Irish boxer is looking to guarantee herself at least a silver and will face either number three seed Beatriz Ferreira of Brazil or Mira Potkonen of Finland should she progress to the gold medal match. The Brazilian has won her last three bouts each with a 5-0 score from the judges and will be tough opposition should she make it through her semi-final against her Finnish opposition.
