Coming up between Chicago and New York, Jaimie Branch has been an active part of both music scenes for many years but made her name as a bandleader more recently, with her series of Fly or Die albums. The third entry, Fly or Die: LIVE, was recorded just before the pandemic and came out earlier this year.

Jaimie talks about discovering Miles Davis early on, taking influences from peers like Angel Bat Dawid and Irreversible Entanglements and the importance of live music.
