Jamie Cullum showcases his love for all types of jazz and music rooted in jazz, from its heritage to its future. Featuring live sessions and guests from around the world, Jamie has a session this week from the American trumpeter, composer and producer Theo Croker.

An experimental musician with a jazz foundation, music runs in Theo’s family – his grandfather was the trumpeter Doc Cheatham – and it’s his willingness to blur lines between genre which have seen him pick up critical acclaim in recent years, including a Grammy nomination.

This year saw Theo release his 6th studio album – BLK2LIFE || A FUTURE PAST – a collection inspired by a personal period of meditation, which musically spans everything from spiritual jazz to rap. Music for reflection as well as the dancefloor.

Whilst in the UK during a recent European tour, Theo Croker and his band came into the ´óÏó´«Ã½â€™s Maida Vale studios to record an exclusive live session for Jamie’s show.
