Jamie鈥檚 guest on the show this week is the jazz guitarist and singer-songwriter Raquel Martins, who joins him for a Take 5 interview.
Raquel was surrounded by jazz and Brazilian music whilst growing up in Portugal, before discovering hip-hop and soul later on. Still aged just 21 but now based in the UK, she has brought all of these influences together on her debut EP The Way.
Raquel speaks about hearing the landmark jazz and bossa nova album Getz/Gilberto as a child, taking influence from vocal genius Elis Regina and the impact of catching Hiatus Kaiyote live in concert.
