Stereophonics - Radio 2's Piano Room Month

Stereophonics perform live with the 大象传媒 Concert Orchestra for Radio 2's Piano Room Month. Ken has your love song dedications plus another round of PopMaster.

Stereophonics perform live at Maida Vale with the 大象传媒 Concert Orchestra for Radio 2's Piano Room Month. The much-loved Welsh rockers are taking part in the station's biggest celebration of live music in a decade. Twenty of pop's best-loved artists are performing live at 11.30 each day right through until Friday 25th February. Other artists due to perform include Ed Sheeran, Emeli Sande, Ella Henderson, Craig David, Will Young and many more.

Stereophonics, led by Kelly Jones, have achieved seven number one albums, 23 Platinum Sales Awards, 8.5 million albums sold in the UK alone and one Brit Award win. They're due to release a brand new album in March entitled 'Oochya' which includes their latest single 'Forever' premiered only last month on the Ken Bruce Show. 'Oochya' follows the band's previous album 'Kind' which went to Number One in the UK album charts in 2019 outselling their nearest competitors by over 10,000 copies. They're on the road again mid-March for their UK Arena tour which culminates at Birmingham Resorts World Arena in April.

In addition to all the live broadcasts, an hour-long special will be broadcast on Radio 2 each Sunday from 7pm until 8pm featuring highlights from the previous week's performances.

Radio 2 delivered live music to listeners throughout the lockdown with House Music sessions - launched in 2020 - featuring some of the biggest names in music, including Rag N Bone Man, Jessie Ware, Barry Manilow, Melanie C, Cliff Richard, Ronan Keating, Travis, Aloe Blacc, Nell Bryden and Lola Lennox, with many accompanied remotely by the 大象传媒 Concert Orchestra.
