Ella Henderson - Radio 2's Piano Room Month

Ella Henderson performs live for Radio 2's Piano Room Month. A former X Factor runner-up, Ella has long shed that tag to become one of the UK's most in-demand female songwriters.

Ella Henderson performs live at Maida Vale for Radio 2's Piano Room Month accompanied by the 大象传媒 Concert Orchestra. A former X Factor runner-up, Ella has long shed that tag to become one of the UK's most in-demand female songwriters. Lincolnshire-born Ella is the latest artist to join the station's biggest celebration of live music in a decade with 20 of pop's best-loved artists performing live at 11.30 am each day throughout February. Other artists include Jamie Cullum, Ed Sheeran, Emeli Sande and many more.

Ella first came to prominence competing in the ninth series of The X Factor in 2012, finishing in sixth place. Shortly afterwards she released her debut album 'Chapter One' which reached number 1 in the UK. It spawned the number 1 single 'Ghost' as well as the top 20 singles 'Glow' and 'Yours'.

Next month sees the release of her second album 'Everything I Didn't Say' which will include her fifth UK Top 10, 鈥楲et鈥檚 Go Home Together鈥� with Tom Grennan and new single 鈥楤rave鈥�. Come May Ella will be performing as the special guest on The Script's Greatest Hits Tour culminating at the 02 in London in June.

In addition to all the live broadcasts, an hour-long special will be broadcast on Radio 2 each Sunday from 7pm until 8pm featuring highlights from the previous week's performances.

Radio 2 delivered live music to listeners throughout the lockdown with House Music sessions - launched in 2020 - featuring some of the biggest names in music, including Rag N Bone Man, Barry Manilow, Melanie C, Cliff Richard, Ronan Keating, Travis, Aloe Blacc and Nell Bryden, with many accompanied remotely by the 大象传媒 Concert Orchestra.
