Siwan Dafydd, former President of Urdd Gobaith Cymru (The Youth Movement of Wales) takes us on a journey looking at the history of the Message of Peace and Goodwill given annually by the youth of Wales to the World.

With the Message, and the Urdd, celebrating 100 years this year, Siwan looks back to the beginning of the message and what it’s become today. Talking to individuals involved with the 2022 message, as well as people who have written and presented messages in the past, she’ll compare their experiences with her own. She will discover the purpose of the Message and how it has impacted the lives of those involved with creating and those associated with it.

The Message of Peace and Goodwill is a hidden gem that many in Wales have never heard of, yet it reaches millions across the world every year and attracts the attention of world leaders like former First Lady Hilary Clinton and stars such as Matthew Rhys and Michael Sheen. The impact of this special and unique message grows each year with 2022 being no exception.
