Cathy MacDonald presents an appeal on behalf of the Disasters Emergency Committee. Since the start of the rainy season in June, Pakistan has been hit with extreme monsoon rainfall – more than twice the monthly average. An estimated 33 million people have been affected, with many killed and injured and entire communities gone.

The Disasters Emergency Committee represents 15 of the UK’s leading aid charities. Many of its members are already working in Parkistan and preparing to scale up their operations to provide food and water, medicines and shelter.
