"I have an itchy foot," Sean says. "It's driving me round the bend!"

"Wash your feet more often!" says Davy in Belfast.

"I showered last night!" Sean says. "How many times do you want me to wash? I need a tin basin of water to put my foot into. Can you still get a tin basin?"

Janet and Thomasina say no, you can't get a tin bucket.

"I remember Every house had a good bucket," Sean says. "And if you were lighting the fire, your mother would say, 'don't be using the good bucket!' The mammies and the grannies would have boiled the nappies, or done the washing in the good bucket on the sink. But sometimes it would spring a leak and you would get a washer to repair it!"

Janet looks at Sean inquisitively. Thomasina thinks Sean is mad.

"Yes!" Sean says. "You got a washer for it. You tried to hold onto your bucket for as long as you could."
