Proms - 大象传媒 Symphony Orchestra with music by L贸pez, Rachmaninov and Walton
Klaus M盲kel盲's conducts the 大象传媒 Symphony Orchestra in Jimmy L贸pez's Per煤 Negro, Rachmaninov's Rhapsody on a Theme by Paganini and Walton's cantata Belshazzar's Feast.
Presented by Ian Skelly, including another chance to hear Klaus M盲kel盲's recent Prom conducting the 大象传媒 Symphony Orchestra in the UK premiere of Jimmy L贸pez's work Per煤 negro, as well as two crowd favourites: Rachmaninov's Rhapsody on a Theme by Paganini, with virtuosa pianist Yuja Wang as soloist, and Walton's cantata Belshazzar's Feast, featuring the baritone Thomas Hampson, accompanied by the orchestra and the 大象传媒 Symphony Orchestra and Chorus.
Also, throughout the week we'll hear repertoire given by the ensemble Holland Baroque, directed by Tineke Steenbrink, taken at the recent Regensburg Early Music Days Festival, in Germany.
