Mary Hopkin: These Are Her Days
Mary Hopkin is one of Wales鈥� most iconic voices. In this documentary, writer Nigel Crowle discusses Mary鈥檚 musical career, from her first hit, 55 years ago, to her current album.
In 1968, 鈥楾hose Were The Days鈥� reached Number 1 in the charts, propelling Mary Hopkin into the showbiz spotlight.
55 years on, Mary is still making music but very much on her own terms.
Presenter Nigel Crowle chats about Mary鈥檚 career with her daughter, and current musical collaborator, Jessica Lee Morgan.
Other contributors include musician Lesley Beynon, the teenage friend who was taught to play the guitar by Mary herself. There鈥檚 also an opportunity to listen to a mother-daughter chat between Mary and Jessica, tying in with the recent release of their current album of duets.
