Johnnie marks the 80th birthday of Ray Davies by revisiting a classic interview with The Kinks legend.

Ray Davies turns 80 this week. Johnnie will celebrate the occasion by revisiting an archive interview with the legendary Kinks frontman.

Ray's music, his way with words and his unmistakable voice well and truly defined a genre of British pop.

His songwriting is etched into the memories of a generation in the 60s and 70s, with his stories and observations becoming an essential commentary on late 20th-century English youth culture.
This week, Johnnie looks back at an interview with Ray from 2010.
