Luffy, poisoned by Magellan and waiting to die, is locked up in a cell in Level 5, the Freezing Hell. Bon Kurei, determined to help Luffy, finds out there is no antidote to the amount of poison Luffy has taken from Magellan. He decides that the only way to save him is to find Emporio Ivankov, the okama king incarcerated in Impel Down, the miracle man who is known for his ability to save people. Impersonating Hannyabal, Bon Kurei infiltrates Level 5 with Buggy and Mr. 3, who accompany him unwillingly, but on the way there, they learn that Ivankov has mysteriously disappeared from the prison, a phenomenon the guards call being 鈥渄emonized.鈥� Once on Level 5, they run into a pack of the ferocious Army Wolves, but Bon Kurei manages to reach Luffy鈥檚 cell as Luffy stands on the brink of death.
