Before Kuma was completely turned into a cyborg, he had Vegapunk program a mission into his system, which was to protect the Sunny until the Straw Hats returned. Franky tells the others that they owe their lives and the precious past two years to Kuma. Then the Sunny is attacked by Caribou and his men, who came after them from Sabaody.
