Caribou comes onboard the Sunny but gets abandoned by his men when Mohmoo, the sea cow pulling Caribou鈥檚 ship, recognizes the Straw Hats, gets scared, and swims away with the ship. Caribou begs for his life and asks the Straw Hats if they鈥檒l let him stay aboard for a while. The Sunny approaches the Downward Plume that will take them to the seabed, but they run into Kraken, a giant octopus. Luffy wants to tame it and make it pull the Sunny through the sea. Afraid for his own life, Caribou shows them how to use the Flutter Kick Coating, a diving suit made with the coating bubble, and Luffy, Zoro, and Sanji go out into the water to fight Kraken. Kraken keeps attacking the Sunny, but Chopper and Robin manage to keep the bubble intact. Outside the ship, Luffy is ready to fight the octopus with his new technique.
