In the palace, Thunder Soldier remembers about his past as Kyros. When he was 15 and living in the slums, he makes his fateful encounter with Riku. For years, Kyros fights in the colosseum as its star gladiator before becoming the commander of the Riku Royal Army. Although distrustful of him as first, Riku鈥檚 daughter Scarlett falls in love him. She fakes her death and leaves the royal family to marry him and soon bears him a baby who she names Rebecca. Kyros, Scarlett, and Rebecca lead a happy life until that night ten years ago when they see the palace on fire.
