On their way to Wano Country, Luffy and his group read the newspaper articles about the Reverie. They are delighted to see photos of their old friends that are in Marijoa to participate in the conference. They also reminisce about their encounter with Kin鈥檈mon on Punk Hazard, which was the start of their journey to Wano Country. On Zou, they met Momonosuke, Kanjuro, and Raizo, who are also from Wano Country. They formed the Ninja-Pirate-Mink-Samurai Alliance to overthrow Kaido and the shogun in Wano Country. As the Sunny approaches Wano Country, a mysterious octopus appears and summons giant koi, which pull the Sunny up a giant waterfall. At the top of the waterfall, the Straw Hats are relieved at the sight of Wano Country. But their relief is short-lived as they are sucked into a giant whirlpool.
